We’re excited to announce the release of CIPO 3.4.2, an update focused on smarter workflows, performance improvements, and enhanced system stability.
This release introduces powerful cross-module action functionality—allowing users to create and link documents across modules for a more seamless, connected experience. Alongside this new feature, we’ve included a round of usability enhancements and important bug fixes to help teams stay efficient and in sync.

New features that streamline module-to-module workflows, improve document clarity, and give admins greater control over data relationships.
Fixes & Reliability updates
Fixes and reliability updates that improve data accuracy, streamline document behavior, and strengthen platform performance across modules.
- Cross-Module Actions: You can now create a new document directly from an existing related document. For instance, you can initiate a Change Order directly from a Proposed Change Order, automatically linking the two documents.
- Reference Field Customization: CIPO Admins can now designate a relation field (such as the Subject of a Request for Information) as the Description Reference Field for another module.
- Draft Deletion Clarity: We have improved the confirmation messages when deleting draft documents to help reduce accidental deletions.
- Data List Improvements: The font styling, text alignment, and quick filters have been enhanced for easier navigation and visibility.
- Attachment Timeout: Fixed an issue where attachment thumbnails in the Data List were causing timeouts on documents with many attachments (think Daily Reports).
- Form Alignment: Corrected alignment issues with some text in document forms.
- Dynamic Module Naming: Contract actions now reflect the customized names of the module.
- User Access Stability: Disabling users in one company no longer affects their access to other companies.
- Formula Display: Complex formulas now display correctly on the Data List.
- Data List Export: Fixed sorting issues when printing to PDF or downloading to Excel the Data List.
- Document Duplication: Resolved an issue where some data was not copied when duplicating a document.
- Correspondence Widget: Fixed an issue where user photos were not showing in the Correspondence widget.
- Email-to-Draft Errors: Fixed an error when approving a draft document generated from an email.
- Conditional Transitions: Values update correctly when the condition source field changes.
- Time Zone Support: Image “Date Taken” metadata correctly reflects the user’s time zone.
- Menu Behavior: Fixed the “Menu auto-collapse” setting to work as expected.
- SOV Navigation: Resolved an issue when clicking on an SOV Item from the Relations tab of a related document.
