CIPO Release 3.5.2: Improved AI Chat, Document Management, and Performance

A Smoother CIPO AI Experience

CIPO AI Chat now handles file downloads more reliably when you request an answer or output as a downloadable file. For longer-running requests, new wait and stop options give you greater control over the conversation.

Files within an AI-indexed folder are also automatically marked as AI indexed, keeping their indexing status consistent throughout the folder structure.

More Reliable File Uploads and Bulk Actions

Uploading large files is more reliable, with improved handling that prevents duplicate file versions during uploads.

Bulk Print and Download actions for selected documents, activity entries, and attachments now provide more predictable output. Large requests process in the background, with an email notification when processing is complete—helping teams keep working while CIPO prepares their files.

This release also resolves a PDF generation timeout that affected certain documents and restores the ability to filter Project Files using the Shared field.

Saved Views and Faster Data Lists

CIPO now remembers each user’s selected display type for each module. Your preferred view stays in place between sessions, reducing the need to adjust it each time you return.

Performance improvements also address browser unresponsiveness when loading list modules with large datasets, including lists containing more than 800 items.

Improved Calculations, Schedules, and Reporting

Several updates improve consistency across project controls and reporting:

• Number field formulas: Null values are now treated as zero for more consistent calculations.
• Formula updates: Resolved an issue that triggered multiple redundant requests when formula fields changed.
• Contract schedules: Corrected end-date display when using a Shift Schedule.
• Power BI Project Timeline: Improved recognition of XML task hierarchy defined by outline numbers.
• Payment periods: Resolved a database error encountered during payment-period generation.
• Activity printouts: Activity entries now use a compact 12px font for improved readability.

Permission and Role Management Fixes

This release includes fixes that help keep access and available actions aligned with configured permissions and contract status:

• Removed the Edit option from data lists for closed contracts.
• Corrected Contract Data List visibility for users with a Read – Own permission scope.
• Resolved an issue where permission scope changes were not reflected in user role assignments.
• Fixed an error when creating a role with the same name as an existing deactivated role.
